All therapy services for clients are strictly confidential. Therapists will make suggestions about the possible course that therapy could take so that clients can make an informed decision about whether to proceed with treatment.
All treatment goals and plans are made collaboratively and if at any stage a client decides to end therapy, therapists will suggest other avenues of support that might be more appropriate for them.

Learn about the variety of assessments we offer

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessments involve testing, and appropriate interviews to identify if a person meets the criteria. We suggest neurodivergent interventions and provide support with the diagnosis process. The report may be provided to a Paediatrician, or Psychiatrist.

  • Attention Assessments involves testing of attention abilities and executive functioning that are consistent with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Often this is completed with Autism Spectrum Disorder testing.

  • Academic Assessments involve testing a person’s academic abilities across a range of educational categories. This includes mathematics, reading, writing and listening. This can provide a diagnosis of Learning Disorders.

  • Functional Assessments involves looking at the current behaviours where there are difficulties and identifies the function of these behaviours and interventions that will support the client.

  • Diagnostic Assessments involves a full screening when clients are unsure if they meet the criteria for any disorders as outlined by the DSM-5-TR. This generally takes several hours and is the most thorough assessment. Diagnostic Assessment can include memory, attention, executive functioning, academic and cognitive testing.

  • Cognitive and Intellectual Assessments involves testing of a person's cognitive abilities. This is sometimes called IQ testing and identifies strengths and weaknesses in a person's cognitive abilities.

Assessments take from two hours onwards and depending on the age and capability of the person may be done in smaller time slots. We can provide a range of psychological assessment services including:

Collaborative care under Medicare

For clients with a GP Mental Health Care Plan a rebate is available at the time of session and can be claimed for up to 6 sessions per calendar year. This involves a review with your GP after 6 sessions and approval from the GP for a further 4 sessions.

Upon receiving a referral with a Mental Health Care Plan from a GP, the office will contact the client and arrange an initial appointment. Following this initial session, a letter will be sent to the GP notifying them of the session and the proposed treatment plan. At the conclusion of the 6 sessions, a letter will be sent to the GP. The client makes an appointment with their GP to have a review of their Mental Health Care Plan. The GP can send a referral for a further 4 sessions within the calendar year. A new Mental Health Care Plan is required each calendar year. At the end of the year, the Mental Health Care Plan will be closed by sending a closure letter to the GP.

Please note that our service is not a bulk billing service and there is an out of pocket fee for clients.
